Runway to Table: Our Red Carpet-Worthy Tableware Inspired by the 2025 Met Gala

Runway to Table: Our Red Carpet-Worthy Tableware Inspired by the 2025 Met Gala

Let’s be honest: No one tunes into the Met Gala hoping for subtlety. We show up for the drama, the fantasy, the sheer audacity of fashion unchained. And the 2025 Met Gala?
This year’s dress code was “Tailored for You,” a nod to the Costume Institute’s Spring exhibition called “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.” It explored Black style and the rich history of dandyism—a tribute to fashion as a form of identity, resistance, and storytelling.

But here’s the twist. What if we told you some of those jaw-dropping looks have twins… on your dinner table?

You read that right. At first glance, haute couture and designer tableware might seem worlds apart. But not when Catalonia Plates is in the mix. Our tableware pieces are all about bold textures, sculptural forms, and storytelling through design—just like the Met Gala’s best-dressed.

After the love we got for our 2024 Met Gala blog, we couldn’t resist doing it again. So let’s match this year’s red-carpet standouts with Catalonia Plates tableware that brings just as much wow to your tablescape.

Rihanna and Atica

Rihanna made jaws drop (again) as she graced the 2025 Met Gala in a custom Marc Jacobs ensemble that was equal parts bold and poetic. Her look—a cropped blazer, sleek skirt, wide-brimmed hat, and ornate touches like a necktie and brooch—celebrated her growing baby bump and paid homage to the night's theme.

Enter the Atica Collection. Much like Rihanna’s look, our Atica collection strikes a balance between form and symbolism. With organic shapes inspired by Ancient Greece, Atica echoes a return to our origins, just as Rihanna’s Met Gala outfit.

Zendaya and Classic

While not every guest nails the assignment, Zendaya consistently delivers Best Dressed status with grace, intention, and that signature Law Roach magic.

At the 2025 Met Gala, she stunned once again, this time in a custom white Louis Vuitton suit and hat. It’s a clear homage to Diana Ross’s Mahogany era and a powerful nod to the zoot suit, a symbol of Black dandyism. Tailored to perfection with high-waist, tight-cuffed elegance, her look balanced homage and high fashion with effortless ease.

Like Zendaya, the Classic Collection doesn’t beg for attention. At first glance, it’s minimal, even understated. But look again, and you’ll find quiet mastery in every line and curve.
It draws you in with precision, elegance, and timeless sophistication. It’s the plate that sets the tone, anchors the table, and elevates every course it touches.

Kendall Jenner and Orfeo

Trading her signature sleek minimalism for something with more edge, Kendall arrived in a custom Torishéju creation: a deconstructed, menswear-inspired gown that reimagined the suit jacket through a feminine lens.

With textured panels and asymmetrical lines, the look paid tribute to the Harlem Renaissance while pushing fashion forward. Her glittering diamond necklace and drop earrings only amplified the visual drama.

Now cue Orfeo. With its interplay of deep tones and matte-gloss finishes, the Orfeo Plate channels the same duality that defined Kendall’s ensemble. Just like her dress, it’s structured but fluid, classic but experimental.

Colman Domingo (Blue Cape) and Indigo

It was only fitting that 2025 Met Gala co-chair Colman Domingo arrived in an electrifying pleated blue cape by Valentino. Paired with a sequined breastplate, layered statement jewelry, and an 18k gold Omega Speedmaster, the look was nothing short of cinematic.
This time, his electric blue cape rippled behind him like a royal banner. Deep, dramatic, and unapologetically regal.

That energy was very similar to our Indigo Collection. Its deep blue tones shift depending on the lighting, echoing the same mood Colman brought to the carpet.

Whether it’s a red-carpet moment or a refined dinner setting, the deep blues turn the ordinary into the unforgettable.

Gigi Hadid and Nut

Gigi Hadid channeled old Hollywood glamour with a modern and golden twist. Styled by Gabriella Karefa-Johnson, Gigi floated onto the Met Gala carpet in a crystal-covered Miu Miu masterpiece.

With a corseted silhouette, delicate halter strap, and ruched waist detailing, the look radiated elegance while honoring icons like Zelda Wynn Valdez and Josephine Baker. These are the two Black women who reshaped the fashion landscape with boldness and grace.

That same luxe nostalgia? It shimmers in our Nut Collection.

Inspired by the sculptural form of a walnut shell, Nut is a study in refined metallic beauty. Its ergonomic stainless-steel shapes, that’s coated in a soft, glowing gold finish, mirror the sensual curves and structured drama of Gigi’s gown.

Christian Latchman and Wave

All eyes are on Christian Latchman, and rightfully so. As the face of this year's Met Gala: Superfine: Tailoring Black Style, he’s turning heads left and right.

In this standout moment, Christian wears a striking white tailored suit with a dramatic twist—literally. The look features a perfectly cut blazer layered over wide-legged trousers, seamlessly flowing into an exquisite pleated train that sweeps the floor behind him.

A black shirt peeks through the deep neckline while a soft pink floral boutonnière at the lapel introduces a delicate, romantic accent.

That’s exactly the vibe and feel of Wave.

With its flowing curves and organic silhouette, our Wave Collection mirrors the movement in Christian’s ensemble. Inspired by nature yet built for modern function, Wave is timeless in design and durable in form. Its soft edges and sculptural elegance bring quiet drama to the table, just like Christian does on the red carpet.

Miley Cyrus and Cosmos

Next up, we have Miley Cyrus who served drama in Alaïa. Miley stepped onto the blue carpet in a stunning all-black ensemble, featuring a structured crocodile-textured leather crop top with sharp shoulders and long sleeves. The asymmetric cut revealed her toned midriff, which added a modern flair to the otherwise classic silhouette.

Her jet-black leather crop top with its shimmering texture mirrors the gleam of starlight on the Cosmos plates. Paired with her crop top, the voluminous black skirt flows like a shadow drifting through space.

A gold choker necklace from Cartier completed the look, along with her sleek braid, giving off rock goddess energy with couture precision.

Lorde and Emporium

Lorde brought sleek minimalism to the 2025 Met Gala in a sharply tailored Thom Browne ensemble. Her look featured a structured silver bandeau top. This is paired with a layered, form-fitting maxi skirt, also in silver, with soft horizontal paneling.

Draped casually over one shoulder was a matching tailored blazer with subtle stripes. To complement her backless look, the pop star also wore a silver fish charm in her braid.

Lorde’s Met Gala look is a perfect match for the Emporium collection. The glassy silver tones of her ensemble mirror the handcrafted finish of Emporium’s glass pieces.

Lewis Hamilton and Summum

Formula 1 star Lewis Hamilton’s 2025 Met Gala ensemble was a masterclass in modern regality, merging tradition with thoughtful reinvention.

Wearing Wales Bonner, Hamilton was in an ivory suit with a cropped jacket and high-waisted tuxedo-striped trousers. The look finished with elongated coattails, a white bow tie, and an embroidered sash draping from his waist.

His entire outfit effortlessly echoes the essence of the Summum Collection. The ivory palette reflects Summum’s timeless aesthetic. Much like a Summum tablescape, Hamilton’s look commands attention through understated luxury and thoughtful composition.
